Arya News Agency -Iran's ambassador to the United Nations has responded to
accusations from three European countries, stating that threats to
activate the "snapback mechanism" will not only be counterproductive but
also provoke a strong reaction from Iran.
Amir Saeed Iravani, Iran's
permanent representative, highlighted in his letter to the
Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council that the
current issues surrounding the JCPOA stem from the United States'
unilateral withdrawal in May 2018.
He noted that the Troika and the
European Union have failed to meet their obligations under the JCPOA and
Security Council Resolution 2231.
